The Patchogue-Medford Library's Spanish Outreach Department
is seeking an intern for the fall and spring semesters. Our library serves a diverse population and
provides an excellent experience for an energetic, community-driven library
school student. This internship in our busy public library will include interacting
with Spanish-speaking patrons, both children and adults, assisting at public
service desks in our Children’s and Adult Services Departments, and being
involved in whole-library programming for Spanish-speaking patrons. All
applicants must be enrolled in a library
school program, and must be doing the internship for class credit. This is an unpaid internship, but an
invaluable experience. Verbal and
written Spanish-language fluency is required. Please apply by October 6th
