Position: Internship, Reference Library- Records Management
Job Description: The National Minority Supplier Development Council is looking for someone who is studying Library Sciences – Records Management to intern with us to organize, arrange and preserve office records as organization prepares for relocation.
Location: 1040 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY.
Resources Areas: Corporate Plus Program, Membership, Programs and Field Operations
Pay: Unpaid position. Could be used for college credit or to get great experience. Will provide reimbursement for travel.
Start Date: Ideally ASAP but flexible.
Length: Ideally for the year but will be flexible.
Hours: Flexible
About the National Minority Supplier Development Council:
Providing a direct link between corporate America and minority-owned businesses is the primary objective of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, one of the country's leading business membership organizations. It was chartered in 1972 to provide increased procurement and business opportunities for minority businesses of all sizes.
The NMSDC Network includes a National Office in New York and 39 regional councils across the country. There are 3,500 corporate members throughout the network, including most of America's largest publicly-owned, privately-owned and foreign-owned companies, as well as universities, hospitals and other buying institutions. The regional councils certify and match more than 15,000 minority owned businesses (Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American) with member corporations which want to purchase goods and services.
Minority Business Information Center: Repository includes library books & periodicals, NMSDC publications, annuals reports, photographs, tape cassettes and DVDs.
