Are you interested in working in a public library? Are you interested in health sciences librarianship? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you might be interested in volunteering for the Stony Brook Medicine Healthy Libraries Program (HeLP). We are seeking library science graduate students to participate as part of an interdisciplinary team of students in other professions (nursing, public health, social work & nutrition) to provide in-person health information services within public libraries in Suffolk County. Another component of this opportunity is to create educational webinars on various health topics for public library patrons. Training will be provided. This is a part-time, unpaid position that should require no more than 10 hours per week for the spring semester.
