Scope
The Information Center is a centralized department managing all research subscriptions and performing research requests supporting all employees within the firm on a global level. Librarians perform and deliver custom research assignment results to internal clients, provide training on information services as needed, evaluate new resources and advise internal business units on resource options as appropriate.
As an Information Center Intern, you will be asked to perform basic research on a variety of topics to support the research and information needs of the financial, corporate and other staff of the firm. You will also be responsible for formatting and delivering these results to internal clients in an appropriate format. You will also be asked to assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Interest in library science or planning to attend graduate school for MLS or MLIS degree from an accredited graduate program
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in coordination with other team members
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects
- COVID vaccination required, subject to applicable state and federal law
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from MLS or MLIS accredited graduate program
