P/T - Information Services Department Internship - Conde Nast (Manhattan)
Condé Nast's Library
and Information Services Department produces in-depth research for the world’s
most celebrated media brands. We work with Condé Nast business and editorial
personnel and the Library is open to all employees. Our collection includes competitor
titles as well as Condé Nast magazines; it also contains approximately 1,200
photography books.
We are seeking a part-time intern for the upcoming Fall semester.
Potential candidates must receive course credit from their college/university.
We require a minimum of two days a week.
Job duties include:
-Fulfill basic research requests from Condé Nast employees and
some external clients
-Process extensive collection of daily newspapers and
weekly/monthly proprietary and competitor magazines for circulation
-Familiarize visitors with circulation system, catalogue, library
databases (including New Yorker & Vogue archives) and general organization
of the library
-Inventorying and deaccessioning older titles in preparation for
move from Times Square to One World Trade Center
-Shelf reading and organization of our heavily used collections of
books, magazines and bound volumes
