DESCRIPTION:
This is an excellent opportunity for students specializing in archives to gain
experience in an academic library. The Leonard Lief Library has acquired a special
collection of books, documents and reports pertaining to the United Nations.
This internship will focus on taking inventory of this collection, and
developing a finding aid for these materials. The intern will work under the
supervision the Government Documents and Special Collections Librarians.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Enrollment in the Internship course for credit at a Master’s or Advanced
Certificate program in archives, library or information services.
Preferred: Completion of courses or experience in archives,
digital archives, special collections, cataloging; Strong computer skills.
