Health Sciences Library Volunteer
This opportunity will provide experience in a variety of activities within a very active academic health sciences library. This includes but is not limited to: providing reference assistance via email and online chat, teaching information literacy skills, and marketing/outreach. The volunteer will also be involved in special projects as needed, for example, collection assessment, resource development, systematic reviews, and more. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master’s of Library Science program, or equivalent, or have recently graduated with an MLS. A strong interest in health sciences librarianship or academic librarianship is required. Some experience in the field of health sciences or knowledge of field-specific concepts/terminology is preferred. This is an unpaid position, however there is the potential to earn course credit.
