The Union Club of the City of New York is offering a Fellowship in our historic Library and Archives. The Union Club is a private club in New York City, founded in 1836. We’re located at 69th Street and Park Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The Union Club is the oldest private club in New York City and the third oldest in the United States.
 
The Union Club Fellow will focus on inventorying and researching the Library’s rare books and reference holdings and, working together with the Librarian, re-shelving and weeding the collection.
 
Requirements: This Fellowship is open to currently enrolled graduate students in Library and Information Science. Experience or familiarity with rare book collections is preferred. The Fellow should have an interest in the history of NewYork; good organizational and communication skills; and the ability to manage multiple projects. Our Fellow should also have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
 
This is a paid ten- to twelve-week fellowship program, beginning in March. Hours are very flexible approximately 6-8 hours per week.
