The internship offers a hands-on introduction to the inner workings of an auction house library. Internships are available to students who are able to earn academic credit.
When: May 20, 2008 to July 31, 2008
Schedule: Three days – Tuesday and Thursday plus one more weekday (Monday or Wednesday or Friday), 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Required Qualifications
*Enrollment in an accredited library science program
*Interest in art and art history
*Enthusiasm and ability to work alone and as a team member
*Advanced skills in a language other than English a plus
Responsibilities:
*Perform retrospective cataloguing of books, auction catalogues, and periodicals
*Assist with reference queries from specialist departments
*Perform various administrative/clerical tasks
