Requirements: completion of at least one information organization /cataloging course, an online searching course, and currently matriculating in an MLS program. CANDIDATES SHOULD REVIEW THEIR PROGRAM’S REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY (E.G. CREDITS NEEDED) BEFORE APPYLING.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and interested in the technical services aspects of librarianship, including metadata and tagging. Hands-on cataloging or database management preferred. Must have some experience with HTML authoring and Microsoft desktop applications including Word and Excel. Interest in news and current events a plus.
INTERN MUST BE AVAILABLE DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS, WITH MONDAY PREFERRED AS ONE OF THE INTERNSHIP DAYS. THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP TO BE DONE FOR ACADEMIC CREDIT.
