Barnard College Rare Book Intern - Filled
The intern will document the Barnard College Rare Book Collection, as well as plan a small online exhibit of materials from the Barnard College Rare Book Collection housed at Columbia University’s Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
The collection of 436 volumes will be inventoried, arranged and searched in CLIO for accurate call numbers. Additionally, the intern will identify any volumes in need of preservation or conservation treatment. The intern will work directly with Jane Siegel, Librarian for Rare Books & Bibliographic Services to label, inventory and arrange the books.
Following the inventory work, the intern will work directly with
Marcia Bassett, College Archivist at Barnard College to create, plan and research an online exhibit of select books from the collection.
The Internship is unpaid, but will provide practical experience working with rare books.
This position is now filled.
