SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT ARCHIVES


The Sony Music Entertainment Archives, located in the SONY Building at 25 Madison Ave. in Manhattan, houses the archival materials for Sony’s music companies.  Sony Music is the parent company for the two oldest recorded music companies in the world, Columbia and RCA Victor, as well as other companies such as Arista and Zomba Records.

The Archives maintains historic documentation, an extensive library of photographic and other visual materials, an LP and CD library, and other various company materials.

The Archives is seeking an intern for Summer 2017. The intern will perform various library related tasks, including but not limited to: cataloging of documents and books; organizing and reshelving collections of documents, lps, and cds; and organizing, documenting, and archivally re-housing large segments of the company’s photo collection.

This internship is unpaid and must be taken for credit in an accredited higher degree program.
