Visual AIDS is seeking two paid interns: a spring intern to support with public programming and social media and a summer intern to support with our archival collections. Each internship pays a total stipend of $2,500 for approximately 160 hours of work. Interns should be able to come into the Visual AIDS office in Chelsea for at least two days a week.
Summer Internship — Archive
The Summer internship will begin in June. The duration of the internship will be determined by the number of hours worked per week, with a minimum of two days per week and a total of 160 hours of work. Responsibilities include:
Managing our artist file collections and assisting with folder-level description
Cataloging and arranging library materials
Assisting researchers during research visits
Contacting artist members to confirm and update biographical information
