The Anti-Defamation League is looking for an energetic, creative MLS student to fill a position in the Rita and Leo Greenland Library and Research Center. The position is paid, and ADL will cooperate with your university to obtain credit for the work experience, if needed. The internship is for 12 hours a week for the spring semester. An interest in working with library and archival materials is essential. Also required are accuracy in creating and maintaining records, as well as good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
The intern may have some or all of the following responsibilities:
Organizing, preserving and indexing archival materials
Digitizing library publications
Assisting with cataloging books, electronic documents, audio-visual materials and pamphlets
Designing and implementing systems for special collections
Other related projects, as needed
This is a chance to work with professionals at one of the country’s leading human relations civil rights organizations. The Anti-Defamation League is dedicated to stopping the defamation of the Jewish people and to securing justice and fair treatment for all.
ADL is located in midtown Manhattan.
Please send your resume to Marianne Benjamin (mbenjamin@adl.org).
