Lehman College (CUNY): Internship Program for the SUMMER and FALL SEMESTERS 2013

DESCRIPTION:

This is a great opportunity for flexible, creative library school students to gain practical experience in a dynamic, urban academic library.

The Leonard Lief Library will accept interns for the Summer and Fall 2013 semesters.

Interns will work at the Reference Desk, plus on projects in one of the following areas, depending upon interest and qualifications: Website development, Subject Research Guides (LibGuides), Education Library resource development and promotion.

Interns will have an opportunity to observe Information Literacy classes and workshops taught by Lehman librarians.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: Enrollment in the Internship course for credit at a Master’s program in library or information services.

Preferred: Completion of courses or experience in reference, database searching, website development, e-books, mobile databases. Strong computer skills highly desirable.
