P/T - Archives Intern - Robert A.M. Stern Architects (Manhattan)

Robert A.M. Stern Architects is currently seeking an intern for its archives and materials samples library. This is an opportunity to be involved with the provision of information resources in a creative office environment.

Tasks include:
·         Cataloging articles and product binders
·         Creating and updating materials database records
·         Archival processing
·         Scanning drawings, photographic prints and slides
·         Maintenance of periodicals library
·         Maintenance of architectural materials sample library

Qualifications and skills:
·         Enrolled in accredited master’s or certificate program in library science or archival studies
·         Flexible, reliable, and diligent, with good organizational and communication skills
·         Detail-oriented and able to work well with minimal supervision
·         Able to lift 40-pound record cartons and climb ladders
·         Experience with Inmagic DB/Textworks desirable, but not required
·         Knowledge about architecture and interior design a plus

Commitment required:
Must be able to commit to two days per week, 9:00-6:00, for a minimum of 150 hours over the course of the semester. At least one of the days must be Tuesday or Thursday.

Compensation:
This is a paid internship.
