ABC News

The ABC News Research Center, located on West 66th St. in Manhattan, is seeking an intern to work on our staff for the Fall 2008 semester.

The selected intern will contribute to the following efforts:


  • Assist the ABC News Research staff in writing short descriptions of historical news events.
  • Contribute to and maintain an in-house database used to identify potential spokespeople for ABC News. Conduct associated research. The intern will check database records for accuracy, seek out and research new candidates for inclusion, and prepare promotional emails highlighting experts to ABC News staff.

  • Fact check biographical material and other general research center tasks.

  • Assist in the maintenance of collaborative SharePoint websites.

Dates and hours are flexible within normal business hours.

The successful candidate should have excellent research instincts, some experience with online research tools, strong writing skills, and a genuine interest in news.

This is a paid position that must be filled by a person currently enrolled as a student in a graduate school of library/information science.
